TROMPE-L'OEILPART1

Apr.23

I wanted to draw trompe-l'oeil, so I looked up what I could arrange and drew it. The pillars are blivet, and the documents and doves are metamorphosed.

The three were initially going to have a tea party, but research shows that there were no tea parties in this period, so they changed it to chess. It is very interesting to see the old score sheet.

This illustration was drawn for a New Year's card.so, I drew a tiger of the twelve signs of the Japanese zodiac. The cloth letters held by the servants in the background read 'Happy New Year' in Latin.

I usually don't draw middle-aged men, so I struggled a lot. I will try my best to draw cool middle-aged men in the future!

This woman was set up as a pirate's daughter in the cartoon I was creating. Therefore, she is posed as a bit of a tomboy. For dresses, etc., I refer to Gustave Moreau and Dior's haute couture videos, etc. All men's clothes have a similar design, so I'm going to look at the material again to see if I can find out more.

Trompe-l'oeil is the one I feel most be yourself when I draw it, and it's a lot of fun, so I plan to make a series with these characters.
